My backyard could not be any more ideal for climbing season. While everyone across the US is snuggling up and hiding away from the winter cold winds, we are enjoying the sunshine and climbing temps. The warm sun on your back whilst the cool breeze keeps you grounded. Somehow it is January and I am hiking in a tank top and a day before I was snowboarding up at Mt. Charleston. The parking lots are filled with Utah and Colorado plates from neighboring climbers searching for endless crags and routes. We can only count ourselves as lucky that we can drive a half hour from home and escape from reality.
